If you’ve followed me for any length of time, you’ve likely seen a recurring theme in my posts: worry and fear are natural, but they should never be in charge. šŸ™…ā€ā™€ļø

ACTION IS THE ANTIDOTE.

This quote stopped me in my tracks recently:

ā€œDon’t stew. Don’t panic. Don’t catastrophize. Don’t overthink. Don’t ruminate. Don’t spiral. Don’t run through worst-case scenarios. Take action.ā€ šŸ”āž”ļøāš”

I don’t know about you, but I’ve done every single one of those things. Especially in seasons of uncertainty, transition, and change. šŸŒ€

Worry whispers worst-case scenarios. Fear loops mental scripts that haven’t happened- and likely never will. And suddenly, we’re frozen. 🧊

But we don’t have to stay there. šŸ™Œ

Over the years, I’ve built my own internal ā€œantidote listā€ when anxiety tries to take the driver’s seat. šŸ§ šŸš—

I want to share it with you, in case you’re navigating something that feels bigger than you right now. 🌊

šŸ”„ Antidote Actions for When You’re Struggling:

😟 When you feel...

šŸ’” Try this instead...

Worry

šŸ™ Pray. Even a one-line prayer like ā€œLord, give me peace.ā€

Panic

šŸ§˜ā€ā™€ļø Breathe. Inhale for 4, hold for 4, exhale for 4. Repeat.

Catastrophizing

šŸ“Œ Name 3 facts. Get grounded in truth, not fear.

Overthinking

āœ… Choose one small step then TAKE it. Action cuts through the noise.

Ruminating

šŸ“ž Phone a friend. Speak truth into the spiral.

Spiraling

šŸƒā€ā™€ļø Move your body. Walk. Stretch. Disrupt the pattern.

Worst-case scenarios

āœļø Write a best-case. Shift the lens. What if it goes well?

Fear thrives in stagnation. Faith is built in motion. ā›“ļøāž”ļøšŸ•Šļø

I’m reminding myself today- and maybe you need the reminder too- that even the smallest action can break the loop of fear. You don’t need to do everything. Just do something. šŸ’ŖāœØ

Let’s not let our minds talk us out of the good we are meant to walk into. šŸš¶ā€ā™€ļøšŸ›¤ļø

You’ve got this. Let’s keep moving. šŸ”„šŸ‘£
