✨ 🌟 Something to Think About 🌟
Inspired by Adam Grant’s new calendar, I’m starting a series of reflections based on his insights. ✨
💡 “Authenticity is not about expressing every opinion you hold. It’s about ensuring that what you voice reflects what you value.” – Adam Grant
This quote made me pause today. Authenticity is a meaningful quality, but it’s easy to confuse being true to yourself with saying whatever comes to mind, especially if you are a Leader. I have observed leaders who use authenticity as an excuse for unfiltered and harmful behavior, cloaking cruelty or contempt in the guise of humor or “honesty.” As Grant wisely reminds us, true authenticity isn’t about saying everything that crosses your mind—it’s about aligning your words with your values.
It’s a simple but powerful question for Leaders to ask: Do my words align with what matters most to me? 🤔 ✨
